   While I agree that the reaction to this issue is totally wrong I want to give a bit of information regarding another pipeline that was going to “destroy the environment and kill the caribou”. I live within 3 miles of a portion of the Alaska pipeline. I, along with many others, often use the pipeline for access to hunting and other recreational activities that would be impossible for the average person to use. I see no environmental damage. The river it crosses close to my home is clean, clear and full of fish. The moose use it locally as a super highway. Up north the caribou use it not only as a highway but also as breeding and calving grounds. The only problem I see is that because of bull crap from Washington DC the jobs that were promised to Alaskans have been mostly given to outsiders and the pipeline barely has enough oil in it to keep flowing. The rabble rousers who have taken over this latest pipeline need to remember that without oil they wouldn’t have been able to get there unless they walked or rode horses, dam near every item used in today’s lifestyles require oil to produce and transport. When the alternatives are in place to replace oil that is the time to reconsider its use. Even wind, water and solar power requires the use of oil! I would personally prefer to use American oil rather than have the billions of dollars spent on oil go to other countries.
   Please don’t get me wrong, the government reaction in this case is beyond wrong!
   Oh and the girl who was quoted on another site who said the Bundy’s got off easy cuz they are white had better read the rest of the story. The last I read they’re being held without access to family or lawyers even after they were acquitted. Maybe everyone needs the whole story on a given subject before jumping on a bandwagon! It’s no different than people hearing the government crap on opiates and without knowing the other side lay the blame for drug addiction on pain patients and their doctors!

   This absolutely disgusts me. They are secretly trying to kill off people in pain. But if your a Native American on your own lands, the Cops just come right in and start treating you like your the trespassers. I wish I was both physically and financially able to go up there because this is just wrong. Hell if I were just financially able to I would go and get abused right along with the Standing Rock Souix. That would be a hell of a picture for the News. The police shooting a cripple with rubber bullets.
