And yet Bcmigirl, even under board orders the pharmacists following those said orders wont have jobs long because corporate will fire them for failing to follow the policy and procedure of the company which is 15 min. Somehow proof of these needs to be put before the boards IMHO if at all possible, its coming to a head and I quit retail long time ago but praying karma comes back and chews corporate up and spits them out for everyone of us who’s retail spirit was crushed and destroyed. I’m working more in LTC now.
Details, details. At a recent meeting, pharmacists were told that telling a pt that a waiter will take more than 15 minutes is unacceptable. One pharmacist and one tech both doing triple duty at drop off, filling, and cashiering. A prescription was typed incorrectly and the error was missed? No surprise there.
Recently, a drug that was recalled was “isolated” per protocol. 2 bottles made their way back to the shelf twice and were dispensed several times. But,hey, at least they met the metrics!
