Patients have been left to rot and die for centuries since the dawn of modern medicine… The difference is now that the media can speak to the core of our being if we let them, and it is a fool that takes them at face value. To be completely fair health care often has no choice but to save the time it will take to fully ‘learn’ a patient. These patients have always had the primary responsibility to keep themselves alive. Superman and Dr. Welby came from smoke filled rooms in Hollywood.
