I have spoken with attorneys who have expressed an interest in possibly taking legal action against pharmacies that are refusing to fill, as written, legitimate prescriptions for opiate medication for patients suffering from chronic pain lasting 3 or more months, or suffering from pain associated with a cancer diagnosis, sickle cell disease, or palliative or nursing home care, or which are adding additional requirements in order to get those prescriptions filled.

THANK U,,,maryw
It’s about dam time. Now, how about the Doctors and Hospitals who
Know the patients that are in extreme pain since they have been their
Patients for years and just dropped them for absolutely no legal reason
Except for being AFRAID the DEA would go after them. If their patient’s
Had legitimate pain, as most chronic pain patient’s due, they should have fought for their patient’s rights.
As I keep saying, we are NOT ADDICTED, we are DEPENDENT on
Our Medication, just like heart patient’s, diabetics, Arthritis patient’s etc.
and everyone else that has to take monthly medication to survive.
Since when does the Medical profession take the word of a
Psychiatrist when it comes to the physical,,NOT MENTAL, Health of
their patient’s.
