Failure to stand up
As one of my readers stated in a comment:
“I so wish I could gather all the pain community together to become one united front but how is that done exactly? Especially when there are so many little groups and a few really big organizations that refuse to work together due to their own agenda.”
It has been stated that per our legal system “the value of the life” of a person who is handicapped/disabled, elderly, unemployable.. has little value and thus an attorney will not take on any legal action on a contingency basis because there is little/no financial upside for the attorney
The DEA/DOJ, FDA, CDC are using existing laws and creating “new interpretations” of those laws to change the original intent of the law… to suit the agenda of the specific agency. IMO, until someone challenges the constitutionality of these new interpretations… they will remain on the books and enforced.
There may be some hope with the new Trump administration will take some actions on violations of the Americans with Disability Act. It really can’t be any worse than what has NOT HAPPENED under the Obama Administration.
Could it be that many personal injury attorneys have not considered the possibility of filing claims on:
In a personal injury or wrongful death case, the family members of the injured person — spouse/partner, children and parents — can file a lawsuit for their own loss. A interesting concept
The state limits for such lawsuits is $300,000 – $400,000. Apparently a lot more than the limits for medical malpractice and the “value” of the life of a handicapped/disabled, elderly, unemployable and could be financially advantageous for a law firm. If a couple of these cases are successful.. personal injury attorneys would start “circling” …
Likewise, a healthcare professional that denies, reduces a pt’s opiate therapy that is allowing them to keep a job … causing the pt to lose their job.. that is MEASURABLE DAMAGES… again.. personal injury attorneys should be very interested in such cases.
The way that change is going to happen for those in the chronic pain community may be more of “one step at a time” and waiting for some sort of MASSIVE UNITY ACTION… does not seem to be a near term reality.

Inquiring minds of an advocate & fellow chronic pain patient wants to know what site is being referred to that Trump put up? Can someone share it so as I can comment on it, please?
I’m one of those that not only advocate but, have chronic illness with chronic pain & lost my my employment in Healthcare for 36 years due to the CDC guidelines or whatever guidelines my doctor is following & wish to voice not only my opinion but, share the real facts I have collected to President Elect Trump. As stated it can’t hurt to try as we’ve tried everything else including the Rally Against Pain in DC. We’ve made some headway & many have done follow up articles with the big name organizations spoken of. I’m to follow up on the radio show I did regarding the rally & I’m pending a date as November was already taken. I am hoping for a date in December which is right around the corner.
Please post it here or send it to snoogums79@gmail.com and please title it Trumps site as I have a lot of email so i check based on emails, names & topics until I get around to looking at many & deleting the rest.

I feel anyone who has said he is repelling the ACA – however later stating he will leave pre-existing conditions intact- really isn’t very confident how he is going to ‘fix’ healthcare prices in our country.
Maybe we should all write Trump. He says he wants to save money….how is what they are doing to us saving money.
Majority of Chronic pain people are Women, we understand men have the same pain, many of us are elderly, disabled.
Our doctors right have been taken away and they have been blackmailed into not helping sick people under no legal law have they did this.
A contact needs to be signed for them to leave our doctors alone. Maybe we should write now before they fill his head full of lies. Do it now , please

Hmmmm,,,what happen’d to humanities,,,do they even have a college level course anymore to teach humanities??With that web site trump put up,,,I asked to be picked for informational context thru expereince to tell the truth as to what s happening to us chronic physical pain people,,,I asked for some sortas council of only chronic physical pain people,,and the new surgeon general to have a voice in what happens to us,,,As thee previous administration answer was literally torture and death,,,maybe if a lot of us request to be heard and if a lot of us contribute our experience w/our maltreatment from the previous administration,,we asked for help,,and all we got was MORE DEATH,,MORE INJURY,,from thee previous administration,,,and dea,,, Hopefully if a lot of use the site trump put up,,,to make him aware how bad it has gotten,,,how bad the laws on the books have NOT been honored,,,,how innocent people have died,been put in jail,,lost everything due the government playing Dr.Government..I compared it tooo him,,just like the media,the obama adminstration slandered your name Mr.Trump,,,use propaganda against u President elect Mr.Trump,,,,is thee exact same thing they have done to the chronic pain patients..They demonized our doctors,pharmacist and us,,,they use propaganda,false data and cherry pic the lies to tell the media about us too..Maybe if some doctors who are actually ,”for” the use of opiate medicines to lessen physical pain from medical illness of the chronically medically ill volunteer or apply for jobs in his new administration,,,,maybe things will change?Heck its worth a try,,were literally dieing out here,,,At this point I do not know if I should continue gathering the info for the Inter America Commission on Human Rights,,,or wait and see what Trump does???????,mary
