Hari’s concept is part of the solution, but not the complete solution. For the total cause of drug abuse and the solution, watch https://youtu.be/YvG5Vv5rW5A., It is longer, but well worth the time.
i have never read such a bunch of hogwash as that for reasons of addiction, like toxins and vaccines.
This isn’t technically Johann’s solution, its a concept that was first signified in the 70’s by Bruce Alexander with the Rat Park experiments, and as a concept it is as good a place as any to start. Current regime in treatment is failing miserably with fatalities at their highest ever? And the element of ‘cherry picking’ and taking on ‘quick wins’ in order to secure tender targets has become a dangerous but common process practiced by numerous providers. Community restrictions and age old draconian beliefs are preventing those who do recover from achieving meaningful productive community standing which reflects the rat park experiments perfectly and the outcomes also reflect the core principles behind the rat park theory. 60% of those who successfully will relapse at some point and high numbers state that they were going nowhere and lost their inspiration, hitting a brick wall with a community that was so set in its ways it would not allow for second chances. It’s a dilemma that sits more with the community for resolve than with the recovering individual, and that is sonething that is hard to accept for a num er of Communities. Especially conservative ones. Too much like an admission that they have been wrong.
