“The moral test of a government is how it treats those who are at the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadow of life, the sick and the needy, and the handicapped.” – Hubert Humphrey

My wife has been in pain for 30 years because of a fall down a flight of stairs when she worked for levis. She could not get enough pain medicines because of the cdc guidelines so she went on methadone. It has cause gastro paresis. This did not have to happen if the government would stay out of medicine and let doctors decide what people need.
My husband has had 2 back surgeries (T2-S?), Swan Neck surgery, 6 total knee surgeries –he has seen the same pain management physician for over 20 yrs. Taking morphine and oxycodone. His doc reduced his morphine 50% 3 weeks ago. His life was rough before but now his pain rates an “8” constantly!! He stays depressed and is probably suicidal from time to time. I sent his doctor the article from CDC stating that it was intended for primary care physicians, but don’t know if it will help
I had 3 failed disc surgeries (2 were emergency redo’s)! I had 2 spinal
Cord injuries & massive nerve damage.
I also have Fibromyalgia! I’ve tried PT, Nerve root blocks, Steriod & facet injections, I’ve also had acupuncture.Chiropractic adjustments, Tens Units & I’m living in Chronic Intractable Pain, there’s no relief anymore, because I also suffer from PTSD & I take Ativan for that & also to keep my heart rate down.. the Opioid war, has made my quality of life exetremly poor! I can’t cook clean or even sit & watch TV. It’s even painful to bath or shower!!
It’s unfair but I had to make a choice between Pain meds & Ativan!
This will shorten my life span, as I e already had one heat attack from mypain shooting my Blood Pressure up to high!!
I won’t take my own life, but I have no hope of getting the pain meds to ease my pain & give me a better quality of life!!!
That email should work Elizabeth.Llorenete@FOXNEWS.com also try Elizabeth.Llorente@FOXTV.com I’m an employee of the same company and she might be able to get your email on the second one as well.
Steve, I get so discouraged because this email address is undeliverable! Doctors of Courage has the same email address. I took 1 he. to compose my letter while in great pain, and tried to send it twice! Does anyone try to test these email addresses out before they give them out to pain Patients to comment on???
I so believe that the only way we’re going to change things is through the major media!a an I would have loved for her to read what I wrote. Has anyone else been able to send an email to the address you posted?
Can you send her a short test email and let me know if it was delivered? She needs to know people are having problems. The address I used was: Elizabeth.Llorente@FoxNews.com
Thanks
I did exchange emails with her and used this email that I copied from her return email Elizabeth.Llorente@FOXNEWS.COM
People might be missing the period between her first and last name?
I’m having to seek pain meds on the street…..is this what the government wanted?
