Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens refill drugs without OK, patients say
Between this on going investigation and the situation with pharmacy compounding.. the changes that many of us have hoped for in working conditions… may come to pass… but some of the the changes might not be to our liking..
All three RPH’s from NECC has had there licenses REVOKED… Even the Governor of MA has been forced to get involved with a press conference…
There is a Congressional hearing/investigation being called for over compounding…
The CA BOP as well as Medicare investigators are reportedly looking into this auto refill mess.
Apparently a lot of people took Michael Douglas’ comment in WALL STREET to heart …”GREED IS GOOD !”
I think that one other saying is appropriate for all these messes… “Pigs get fed… HOGS get slaughtered ..”
For all those RPH’s out there… that keep your heads down… starring at the computer screen… always doing what you are told… even if it is in conflict with your ethics… You still have ethics don’t you… or does that bi-weekly paycheck absolve you for violating those ethics…
Things are going to change… now is the time .. to stand up… make friends with local reporters..
Bureaucrats are going to make changes… because that is how bureaucrats respond to crisis…
There is another saying that also applies here “horror stories do not make good policy… but they do make policies..”
If what we are seeing unfold before us right now… does not create some new policies… then there is little hope left for our system…

Let’s hope some changes take place. It is about time to reconcile all of this garbage we have been put through. I know change will come. Hopefully too much government in our profession will destroy us with paperwork. I cannot wait to counsel everyone and get some clinical outcomes happening!
