Have you ever been ASKED?

Have you ever been asked by your practitioners and/or a staff member?

Have you ever considered harming yourself?

In all the years that I have been doing my blog, I now notice that the number of ESTIMATED suicide and attempted suicides published by the CDC has remained unchanged. 2012 when I started my blog, and today the USA population abt 9%. Mental health issues tend to be a rather fixed percentage of a population.

It is also interesting that around 2010-2012 is when the Rx opioids peaked, and today, the number of Rx opioids has been reduced abt 50%.

We know that many chronic pain patients have committed suicide because their pain meds have been involuntarily reduced, and an untold number of PREMATURE DEATHS from various reasons caused by under/untreated pain. While those numbers may or may not be documented, I have not seen a number being published.

Does this STRONGLY SUGGEST that there is a COVERT GENOCIDE going on?

Maybe chronic pain pts should take a copy of the graphic below with them to their doctor’s appointment?

When ASKED THE QUESTION… Suicide ideation can be caused by increased anxiety and depression, which can be caused by chronic pain pt’s pain management being forcibly reduced.

Should the chronic pain pt’s answer to THE QUESTION BE?

It may all depend on how much my pain management is reduced! Point to the bottom line on the chart! Might say something about the fact that aren’t doctors/practitioners supposed to be HEALERS?  As my pain management is reduced, I can expect the average intensity of my pain to increase, and my QOL is going to be compromised. I don’t look forward to being under “house arrest” because my pain will confine me to my house, chair, or bed. The CP pt might also express their concerns about all the other comorbidity issues that may be made worse and/or cause the pt to experience NEW COMORBITIY ISSUES not top of all the comorbidity issues they are already dealing with.

Right now, I can answer the questions with a NO, but suicide is generally somewhat impulsive. As my QOL deteriorates in line with my pain management being reduced, I can’t say what tomorrow brings.

  1. I’ll tell ya that I & all the CPPs I know well have an utter terror of answering that question correctly, because we’re convinced they’ll use it as ammunition, as an excuse to cut us off what little pain meds we can get. If we say yes, the Dr can happily cut us off “for our own safety,” when it’s nothing but the doc covering his butt. We unalive ourselves in any fashion, the doc can just shrug & say “Not my problem, not my fault.” We stroke out or have a heart attack because our BP has blasted into orbit from uncontrolled, intolerable pain, they can blame it on us being stressed out because we lost the evil dangerous meds that were our only problem in the first place.

My own BP was very low my whole life, around 90/60. I’ve been cut back on pain meds 3 times in the last year, & it’s now running around 150/80. I’ve gone from “your BP is awfully low, try eating more salt” to “we need to do something about your high BP.”

    We can’t win.

I’ve always pooh-poohed conspiracy theories, but genocide? Absolutely.

    • Here may be the first step https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/press/rep/releases/grassley-introduces-legislation-to-clarify-the-scope-of-judicial-relief Apparently some in Congress are getting tired of federal judges practicing law fare. Senator Schumer was bragging on TV the other day about all the liberal federal judges that were confirm during Biden Admin https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/senate-confirms-235th-judge-under-bidens-presidency-beating-trumps-first-term-tally From what I have heard, the verbal ruling of one of the Federal judges – a low hanger on the judicial tree- told Trump to bring back the plane full of illegal criminal immigrants that were on their way to San Salvador to be put in Sal Salvador prison. Trump has had more federal judges challenge is EOs in this term than Both Obama & Biden had in their total of 12 yrs. If passed and signed into law, maybe we can get the law profession to stay out of the practice of medicine?

      • I sincerely pray you are correct. For the first time in my life, I’ve lately regretted the many years of amateur study I’ve done on WWII & the lead up to it, i.e. 1930s Germany. The Orange One & Red Hat have studied the fascist’s playbook well. My more paranoid side keeps saying that if the rest of government finally decides it’s sick of watching this country get dismantled, there will come Martial Law & the suspension of the Constitution, and the official end of everything I’ve supported & paid taxes on for almost 50 years.

        • What concerns me is when Obama came to office “we” were abt 9 trillion in debt – after some 232 yrs… when he left “we” were ~ 20 trillion.. when Trump left we were ~ 25 trillion and when Biden left “we” are ~ 36 trillion. “we” are now paying ~ ONE TRILLION/yr in interest payments on our debt. For the last 16 yrs “we” have been spending ~ 50%+ more than we are taking in. If “we” don’t get control of our spending & debt – we will be like Germany – where it took a wheelbarrow full of money to pay for a loaf of bread. I am retired and I watched the buying power of my “nest egg” was reduced by 21%. The 535 members of Congress are complicit in all this spending. the House controls the purse strings of the government. I an sort of relate what Trump is doing and why. Abt 10 yrs ago, a friends of ours had a massive stroke. His wife hired me to run the company, the whole operation was the biggest financial mess. No real bookkeeping records, no CPA, he had abt 15+ employees that were useless, but still collecting a paycheck. The first 3 months, I had a total of 150,000 negative cash flow. No line of credit to draw from and no accounting system for me to use to get a line of credit. I had several salesmen that were “selling”. I had a 40 something Son that worked there who probably had ADD/ADHD and some substance abuse issues. He would come into my office and challenge what I was doing – “we never done it this way” and my normal response is if you want my outcomes – we use my processes. After abt 6-8 months the company was generating 25K-50K/month net profit.. I had removed abt 15 employees. I decided to leave and I had made friends with the only salesman that was worth we paid him.. They had a small division I told them should be shut down – it was loosing money. The salesman I made friends with – told me a few month after I left “they” closed the division and the net profit of the business had DOUBLED. The company was down to < 30 employees. Company bills were being paid on time and had stopped bouncing checks. During Biden 4 yrs.. the part of our society that had the highest percentage increase in employment was the Federal government - and the Feds produces nothing. According to DOGE the average occupancy of federal bldgs is 12% and there are many building that the only employees in the bldg is maintenance. I read where Biden had opened a 4 million museum and it was costing 600,000/yr to maintain and in the first 9 months - average 30 visitors a day... that is abt $55 per visitor and the museum was free for people to come in - what I have heard DOGE has shut it down. Post college, I had a handful of different businesses, and I was successful enough to retire at 49 y/o. I am a entrepreneur and I see that same/similar mindset in Trump. My concern is that Trump gets our country back on track and in 4 yrs another person with a Biden type mentality and just starts undoing everything Trump was able to put in place.

  2. I can tell you that I compiled a 20 yr record of all drug related death in the US and whether it was OD, accidental, street drugs etc… It got difficult when there was a period of 7 yrs that no information was available in the CDC data base for suicide at all. Four FOIA requests and I got nothing.

  3. Anne Fuqua and Dr. Stefan Kertesz are keeping a list of patients that have been force tapered off their pain meds and have died due to the pain and health issues, suicide or euthansia. Steve thank you for writing about this subject.
