Hide your ID … in plain sight !

If you are concerned about someone breaking thru your posting that you believe are anonymous.. unless you use a anonymous proxy server… if you post some where .. your IP address can be back tracked… if you use a proxy server… the IP address of the proxy server will be left behind.. you could show up being in the middle of Europe, Asia or some other place…

Here are instructions on how to do it… it is pretty straight forward

  1. I agree with Peon. Nothing is 100% safe. There are free tools that can help however. I would suggest installing a VPN on both your home computer and mobile devices. A VPN helps to keep your IP address hidden and gives you a measure of security on public Wi-Fi as well. For more information follow this link to a good review on CNET.

  2. If a pharmacist or tech is going to post any information on the internet that might be critical of their workplace, then they should use a proxy server. Their employer could bring a lawsuit and force the internet site to divulge the IP address of the pharmacist or tech.

Far too many people are putting too much personal information about themselves on Facebook too. It seems to be kind of a addiction for a lot of people.

I would also caution anyone sending emails, that might reference words that mention terrorism and other politically sensitive topics, that they should encrypt those emails. The US has a vast intelligence network that scans emails. Certain words are keys for the software to pull copies of those emails for further reading by intelligence experts. It could be possible that the most kindly person could erroneously be listed in an intelligence database as someone to watch.
