How many “fake facts” can one person present in a 5 minute interview ?

Sec Azar apparently is keeping with promoting the “benefits” of the Trump administration that are really a “nothing burger” …

While fox is having a three part investigative series on the adverse affect on the health care system and pts with the arbitrary reduction in opiate Rxs and the resulting SUICIDES… Judge Jeanine has this “mouth piece” for the Trump administration regurgitating how changes are financially benefiting people.

GAG CLAUSE: Pharmacist has always been able to tell a pt that the cash price was less than their copay – but the pt had to ask the question.. now that the GAG CLAUSE has been removed.. the Pharmacist can initiate the conversation about if the cash price is cheaper.

FORCED 30% REDUCTION IN PRESCRIPTION PRICES… Here the administration is comparing apples to oranges… those other countries with single payer or national health insurance… doesn’t have a boat load of for-profit middlemen each with a cost infrastructure and goal to generate a profit.

Our VA hospital system is a good example.. it is a “closed system” … they purchase meds and they dispense meds.. there is no billing to a third party (PBM), there is no PA or other bureaucratic infrastructure , there is no kickback/rebate/discount to a middleman.. and they purchase their meds for about 30%+ less than the pharmas sell to anyone else.

Before Trump came to office, we had a 85%-90% generic utilization on prescriptions.  28 billion in savings… we fill abt 4 billion Rxs/yr… that would equate to about a $6-$7/Rx savings..  I have not seen any such savings in our prescriptions and I doubt if any Pharmacist can point out such price reductions in acquisition costs at the wholesale level.

While OD’s may have plateau, but they have done so at a 18 yr high,  while opiate Rxs are at a 18 yr low.  So we have to reduce opiate Rxs by 28% to get the OD’s to plateau.  You notice that there is no ONE WORD about the legit use of opiates and/or the pts that have a legit need for opiates on a long term/chronic basis.

Other countries have more than TWO VALID POLITICAL PARTIES – why have we been stuck with a two party system since Lincoln was President ?  Something to think about ???

  1. It’s hard to get anything done with 1/2 of the house, and some in the senate, would rather hurt Americans then to past a single bill that originated by republicans, or is something President Trump is trying to do. I lost all respect for the democrat politicians. Talk about hypocrites? Obama, Hillary, Bill Clinton all wanted to build a wall-and I’ve seen the videos of their speeches-and I remember watching the speeches at the time-now they don’t want to fund it. When we have no money for VA and illegals with sicknesses are walking right in soaking up our resources. Your democrat party doesn’t do a damn thing for Americans. The Clintons and Obama’s were practically penniless now they are milt-millionaires or billionaires and btw don’t tell me it’s from book sales. Those books were on the 50% off sale table within 2 months of hitting the market. I will take President Trump any day over your communist party who only care about staying in power to line their pockets. Take me off you mailing list. When people start pouring out their biases I’m out of here.

  2. Hayden I couldn’t understand a damn thing you said. And the point is?

    • My “point” is that Azar did not tell (In the above video) what is also considered factual about people under pain management care and the need for acute pain management. Get a tooth pulled by the dentist, prescribed a few days of opiate medication for the dental work and automatically everyone that has a tooth pulled become “addicits”. Opioids are not completely responsible for the overdose rate in this country. Multiple substances are present in the body far more often than an overdose with one single opioid especially prescribed medication for pain. CDC states some 9 to 11 million people really need opioid medication as the last resort to manage pain. It was stated that prescription medication had been reduced about 28 percent under the current presidential administration and the goal was 33 percent by the end of the current administration. Great goal. Sounds good on paper. I am simply surprised at the lengths appointed officials will go to remain loyal to an authority determined to stay the course with a policy even after overwhelming reports surface, from other “experts” and professionals in the medical field to the contrary. Nationwide misdirection about the “opioid crisis” and how prescription medication is simply bad for everyone. That is my point.

  3. Probably going to raise some fallout with this but, how is congressman Steve Scalise doing? How is he doing? What is he doing with? Just saying. ALL men are created equal? Scales of justice? Truly without prejudice? Ban me. I don’t care. People are suffering for no legirtimate reason OTHER than money? Another man’s misdirection?

  4. Azar did lie like a politician. Surely he don’t believe what he said. Where does he get his statistics?

  5. Announcing your candidacy Steve? I’ll vote for you. It’s a matter of life and death for many now.
