“The moral test of a government is how it treats those who are at the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadow of life, the sick and the needy, and the handicapped.” – Hubert Humphrey

This country used to have laws and regulations to protect vulnerable patients and the general public form false health information. Our local religious non profit hospital spends millions on advertising their “4 Star Rating” of course in reality their infection rates, and other measures are all well below 4 Stars. They paid off our local politicians and buy millions in advertising so they are not accountable. Unfortunately people find out how bad the patients care is when they get sick, or watch a loved one die, due to the incompetence, cost saving measures and dangerous practices A lot of the deaths were not even reported, since many people left the hospital and went to a hospital 60 miles away to die. There is no law that they have to report all of the deaths, infections or surgical mistakes.
