CuraScript, a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Scripts,is a leading national provider of specialty pharmacy services
Answer the inbound queue for Physician Services. Call out the Physicians for new prescriptions, clarifications, and dosage changes. Handle escalated e-mails from our internal customers. Assure all prescriptions (verbal) are attached to the correct patient¿s account and assign prescriptions to a patient¿s account based on demographic information. Work with VIP accounts and special handling of specific prescriptions. Flexibility in job function is necessary as daily assignments vary based on business need.
Doesn’t these functions sound like those that most practice acts limits to be performed by a Pharmacist? I wonder who wrote the copy.. they can’t even spell PRIMARY
I guess when you are as big as Express Scripts and work behind closed doors… observing laws/practice act … is not really important. After all, they are taking care of pts with chronic conditions.. if they make a major mistake…they can just blame the negative outcome on the pt’s disease state and the pt taking a turn for the worse …
