Sniffing out a solution…
Matt Grant is an investigative reporter for WESH TV in Orlando NBC Channel 2.
Last week Matt did a report on patients not being able to get their medically necessary medications.
mjgrant@hearst.com I have been told that he is looking to “go with” and/or watch a Pharmacist tell a chronic pain pt that they are “NOT COMFORTABLE” filling their Rx.. or that they “DON’T HAVE ANY INVENTORY”
If you live in the Orlando area and ready to need to get a fill/refill on your medically necessary medication and you expect to have to participate in the “Pharmacy Crawl”.. the word I have received… Matt wishes to come along with you on your “Pharmacy Crawl”
I should have his personal cell phone number later today… but feel free to contact him via email..
Remember… IF YOU DO NOTHING… YOU GET NOTHING …

This is going on everywhere. The unbelievable things that are being done to pain patients is appalling, to say the very least. Treating people in pain like criminals will eventually turn them into one if they are continually denied access to their legally prescribed pain relieving medications. And this is because the innocent are being punished because of the drug addicts who end up killing themselves, whether on purpose, or by accidental overdose. As far as I’m concerned, anyone who intentionally lies to obtain pain meds and dies from their stupidity, deserves what they got. I have zero sympathy for these suicidal morons who are making life hell for those of us who wish we never had to take pain medication, and now have to suffer the consequences of THEIR deceitful actions. People with chronic intractable pain suffer enough as it is with horrible illnesses without being held responsible for a bunch of drug addicts. And, nothing can infuriate me more than to claim that those criminals have an “illness”. No, they have self-inflicted addictions! No one forced the drugs they didn’t need into their bodies, they took them willingly! WE didn’t give ourselves illnesses.
God bless you, Alikat, I couldn’t have said it better. One more thing, to those who post here that we’re all drug addicts and obviously are because we have the time to post on these blogs, well, 1) YOU posted here, and 2)You REALLY need to understand that all the finger pointing and name calling can change for you personally in the 5 seconds it takes to get t-boned by a pick-up truck. THEN what are you gonna do? I can tell you exactly. You’re gonna cry, and say everyone’s against you, and “I’m not a drug addict, I’m in pain!!”. Remember that the next time you want to belittle us and call us names. I’ve spent 40 hours on the operating table and had to have two MAJOR surgeries REDONE. Try it sometime, you’d NEVER say what you’re saying now. Peace, Alikat, and I wish you the best…
I’m with you Bryon Wood…..this going on in volusia county as well. We need the media involved. My husband and I go thru this as well. Its criminal!!
I sure hope the more media attention this issue gets it will change the outcome for the people not being allowed the meds they so desperately need to function.
Thank you.
So glad to see the news media get involved
