But on the other side of that, when I worked in LTC, we used to get CE credits for attending dinners by the drug reps. it was one of the few ways we could get as much of the info in one session on new products. What I’d like to know NOW is how much Big Pharma is giving the govt to get their drugs on the govt preferred lists. I attended the IN Medicaid meetings when they were developing their Preferred Drug list to try and cut costs. There were always 2 meetings, one public where the companies would give their info why their drug should be on the list and and second closed door session where ‘propriatery pricing’ or how much of a rebate was going to be given to the state for it to be on the list as a preferred product. Now come on folks, we all knew they really meant the ‘K’ word and that we all know is exactly what goes on today behind those closed doors of the PBMs, Obummercare providers and the govt programs. We’re not THAT stupid
