“The moral test of a government is how it treats those who are at the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadow of life, the sick and the needy, and the handicapped.” – Hubert Humphrey

Hello, I know this was aired in 2018. I notice this story this morning in 2023 and the problem this continues. I had brain tumor removed and suffer headaches, I have fibromilga and have pain in both knees both thumbs both shoulders both wrist lower and upper back, not to mention cervical and lower back stenosis, had neck surgery 3 times. In 2002 I was finally diagnosed with all of my issues and I was giving 30 vicodin for 1 year, then I got cut off because Walgreens pharmacist told my doctor Im a pill seeker…..that pharmacist wasn’t aware of my medical conditions. Because of my pain sometimes I would have no choice but to go to the ER until my next doctor appointment. Not only was I not giving my meds anymore but my doctor refused to see me anymore. Because of what a pharmacist told him. If I didn’t have my pain medication I couldn’t walk it would effect my entire quality of life. I then had to find another doctor and was referred to pain management who started prescribing me 120 Norco 10 mil. Everything was going great until I had to move from Alameda County to Sacramento County. I got set up with another doctor and pain management stated back on 120 Norco. I was told by the pain management doctor if I don’t allow them to do nerve burning then I’m not in pain and it’s all in my head and I should see a physcatris…..and not to return unless I’ll allow them to burn my nerves that’s the only way they can continue to give me pain pill. Today I’m back in Alameda County started back taking 120 Norco from my Primary Care my dosage was lowered to 56 Norco which I’m currently taking and she will not give me more. I can not get out of bed or work anymore I’m in severe pain daily. All because of the CDC not looking in to another treatment for people with chronic pain in stead they treated people like drug addiction. I was never ever told these pain pull are habit forming and not to take the for to long. I was giving pain pills and cut off an on and been suffering from 2002 to currently 2023. Something needs to be done immediately to help us all who’s still suffering.

FYIMy Dr.thus far has been compassionate and angered by the discrimination.I gave up local pharmacies over 3 yrs.ago due to profiling.Publix has been reasonable, but many times doesnt have enough or the wrong dosage. My only recourse was mail order, and a company called Optum RX has filled mine w/o question. They are located in San Diego CA.and Mission,KS.The only down side is that you must ride them and ask for overnite shipping, then hope it gets there before you run out. Thus far, there’s been no discrimination, but that may change in Jan.19…WE must now attack Medicare for putting a 90 mg.ceiling.Harrassment 24-7 ought to work, cuz they are already tired of all the calls.Dont give them any peace, along with the White House and all state senatorsand governers.Keep up the noise, make their lives as miserable as ours.I,for one,am not giving up!!!
