Pain never killed anyone… just makes many to commit suicide

“The moral test of a government is how it treats those who are at the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadow of life, the sick and the needy, and the handicapped.” – Hubert Humphrey

I would commit suicide before I had to live in worse pain. The narcotics allow me to stand or sit briefly. Without them I would be bedfast and unable to walk to bathroom. I refuse to live in waste and tears. I have even thought about having both legs amputated because of the neuropathy. I have read about 4 suicides this year because of the lack of pain relief. Ken Mckin says it well on utube about the loss of compassion. Great short clip. He has been a great advocate and watching him is educational and touching. His clips should be required for every health-care workers including pharmacies and DEA. This gentleman is being asked to go with out pain medication and indure the chronic pain that lead to his surgery to begin with? He certainly has more balls than me. Even Alcoholics get librium to prevent withdrawals. So needless and inhumane. The Kentucky pain care network is on Facebook and open to all for a great advocate group. I use to be able to visit my grandchildren until my medication was cut last year.
