Update: HB 185 passed the first reading and has been referred to committee.
Rep. John Autry has filed comprehensive legislation to legalize patients use of and access to medical marijuana.
HB 185, the North Carolina Medical Cannabis Act, permits qualified patients to possess up to 24 ounces of cannabis or grow their own personal supply. Separate provisions in the Act license and regulate the dispensing of cannabis from state-licensed facilities.

The Compassionate Care Act only seems “Compassionate” for those to whom MMJ works for, and who have the money to pay for it.
Prescriptions I require for my diagnoses, ADHD, and Chronic Pain, and that are covered under medicare, are misrepresented, inauthentic, and have created other conditions that require medical attention, [heavy metals], and a diverse set of negative side-effects.
No-one seems to exist in government, including the countless agencies who are suppose-to enforce the laws that are/were, created to protect us, [quality control, notification of changes, ingredients, ….], instead the opposite is true. Even finding media which contains honest and balanced info is challenging, which makes me feel more isolated. I am grateful for Steve and this site. Without this blog and the opportunity to reply, I would have lost my sanity.
A sickening irony as-well is that the stress and chronic PTSD escalating from the start of the reform has required my need for medication to sleep or an anti anxiety. The medication Ambien was extremely effective years ago, when my doctor ordered it recently it was totally worthless, [ineffective]. When I asked for an anti-anxiety medication, the response I received was, “The CDC doesn’t want us to write scripts for benzos” Even though I have an anxiety disorder ?
The stage that has been set, And it’s set-up to make me sick er
