For those who believe that it is beneficial to go to washington DC and protest… I am watching (not listening to) what is going on right now at the capital steps. Just a couple of weeks ago the Senate vote 99-1 to approve 70 odd opiate related bills – all to basically harm chronic pain pts and “help” substance abusers – who most of them don’t want help.
Now the senate is pretty much divided along party lines on voting for Kavanaugh, except for one of the Senators from Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R), who has stated she is going to vote “PRESENT”… apparently she doesn’t have the “balls” to make a decision so she is going to “sit on the fence” and refuse to vote at all. She sure had the “balls” to vote for the 70 odd opiate bills a couple of weeks ago… along with 98 other members of Congress.. the only Senator that voted against those opiate bills was a Republican from Utah. I think that it was Mike Lee.
What I am noticing is that many of the protestors are being lead away in “handcuffs” and many have one arm raised – much like the Nazis and Hitler did during Hitler’s reign.
I wonder how many in Congress could pass the scrutiny of a FBI investigation … Congress would probably not have enough members to have a quorum to pass any bills.. I often wonder why after 242 yrs Congress still finds a need to pass some 200-300 bills every year.
Other Presidents have promised to have a transparent administration and none have come close until Trump with all his tweets… maybe he has taken transparency a bit to far… but is that worse than everything in washington being done behind closed doors ?
How many of us have not done something REALLY STUPID in our teen/college years.. I know that I did and I know that our daughter had a grade school/high school friend that those two were synergistic troublemakers when they were together.
Is our political system becoming so polarized that our country itself is suffering from being BI-POLAR.
Our country may end up like a spinning wheel that becomes “out of balance” and just starts flying apart because of the lack of balance and as soon as that first piece flies off.. the wheel becomes more out of balance and the integrity of the wheel quickly disintegrates and can’t no longer functions as it was designed.

Social media lies and the cable and news stations playing politics. If these people got the real truth things would be different. This is a sad time in American history. Wait till they take our meds away. Or the opiate police count our pills monthly.
They can stop our scripts why don’t they stop the drug cartels. This has been a joke for 50 plus years.
Well Painman, I do not know where you have been but those things is already happening at record pace time. In fact, I heard of some pain management offices requiring you show up for a pill count within 2 hours of the time of the call. When are doctors going to pay us for sitting by our phones and then drop whatever we are doing to show up in there office for pills to be counted like we are 5 years old?
Why would they stop the cartel, they stand with them!! Aide them in flooding the streets with deadly fentanyl and heroin, making loads of $$$$, Then they turn around and go after innocent law abiding chronically ill citizens and our Vets, shut our drs down, take everything they worked so hard for, the oath to do no harm has been burned….when thousands of pain pts are dying in record numbers due to a fictitious opiod epidemic and killing themselves to end the pain…= GENOCIDE !! And yet the UN, ACLU, World Health Organization and more all have been contacted many many times and they dont even want to help pain pts.. This country has gone insane!! How about everyone in government, including thier loved ones, DEA, CDC, FDA, PROP, be drug tested on a monthly basis, Let’s see how many hypocrits fall out of the closet. Many are up in age, with that comes debilitating conditions that may require pain medication…Was Scalise given tylnol when he was shot?! DOUBTFUL and he probably still takes them!
Well we tend to do better when one side does not have all the power! Basically the only thing the Democrats have been able to do is to vote no for major laws that would take healthcare away from even more Americans. In fact everyone should be consider with a bill that passed Congress (but tabled for now) is a bill that would take the trillions of dollars that baby boomers have put into SS and Medicare for there entire working life and is there for the millions of Americans who will be eligible for the program in 10 to 15 years and put those saved dollars into a general fund. (probably to help pay for more tax cuts for example making those who profit from stocks to pay even less taxes). Basically the only money that could be used for those programs would be the money they get from workers from just this year. Well they talk about in 20 years or sooner that those saved money will be needed for all those getting social security meaning on a year to year basis there would end up with a huge loss of funds. Remember that those trillions gain interest and grow. Basically it would destroy SS. 40% of the elderly only live with just the income they get from SS and another 20% have less then $35,000 saved up for retirement. If you want any of these programs that help all Americans who to vote for or party and it is not the Democrat. Republicans do not care about the little guy! In fact the only people have reached out to me have been Democrats. In fact my Congressman will not even answer letters and only had 3 short town meetings that lasted less the 45 minutes each and only let 5 minutes of questions.
