And a reminder,Redhead, times have changed….. NABP now funds your local board, and they get money from who? Wrong Aid, WAG, CVS, you know the usual criminals…..These Boards are far from a governmental agency and in 2015 its supposed to get worse…. as the government goes broke and corporate communism takes over…..

Oh my dear Redhead!! You missed the point! The Boards of Pharmacy are supposed to represent safety and create safe environments to work in, which they are not (follow the money…. CVS…APHA…Boards… for one) I think Steve was trying to point out all the people that profit from our unsafe working conditions. Who are the victims- Pharmacists and Patients… the unrepresented, the poor, the disadvantaged! Priscilla
I don’t think most people in the heatlhcare field even need a book to tell them that the risk for liability is great in this country. The old American dream was getting ahead and making a life for yourself and your family by working hard. The new American dream appears to be slipping on a grape at a grocery store so you can get millions in settlement money.
If someone who spills coffee on themselves can win a big lawsuit, pharmacists need to be careful. I’ve carried liability insurance on my own for my entire career. The rates are very reasonable (for now) for pharmacists. I can’t recommend it enough. As Nike would say- just do it!
