  1. No President will actually determine Administration policy on chronic pain relief. However, members of his transition team will vet nominees for DHHS, CDC, FDA, Surgeon General, and the head of DEA.

With the high profile of campaign promises pertaining to illegal immigrants from Mexico, I really don’t anticipate seeing much relief from the DEA witch hunt against doctors who actually try to treat chronic pain. In the other nominees, however, we can demand that the Senate confirmation committee reject Industry lobbyists and corporate agents in favor of doctors who have treated patients in pain.

  2. Well will Trump help the pain community or not. I do believe it depends on if we can get the truth out to him before they start talking about the dishonest statistics. This is very important. We have to get our stories to Pes Trump or it will not work. No one will come help us No it will not work itself out we are going to not be heard.
We can’t keep doing the same thing an expect something else to happen.

  3. I’m a chronic pain patient , but I couldn’t tell my story cause last night about 11:30pm my brother took 40 muscle relaxers to end his life. Luckily someone was around to call 911. Usually he’s alone. He’s not only a chronic pain patient but suffers mental illness. About a month ago or so his doctor took him off his medications & he’s been in pain & just pretty much went back to when his mental illness started. I’ve been up all night scared to death that when he gets home , he will only try again & this will be an obituary for my 34 yr old brother. I honestly don’t know what to do. Honestly if I didn’t have children at home & lived alone I may do the same. Odviously I’ll be there for him like I’ve always have. He said he’s just tired He was just in our county’s mental health facility a week ago. They keep you like 3 day’s. That’s sad & inhumane. All of this is.

  5. I left the following comment: “I want to see appointees in healthcare related positions (DHHS, CDC, FDA, Surgeon General) who are licensed physicians, NOT pharmaceutical company lobbyists. I also urge the outright repeal and redirection of CDC guidelines on prescription of opioids to chronic pain patients. Present USG policy on opioids is grossly misdirected, and is driving doctors out of pain management and patients into abject agony.”
