I wish the Republican Party actually stood for what it says it does. Limited government interference in our lives. But they have not upheld that one major plank of their party platform.
Both parties are corrupt to the core. It is all about who can get rich when the Republicans are in power and who can get rich when the Democrats are in power. After all money is the mothers milk of politicians. Our Republican controlled Congress just interfered with our medical treatment so that stockholders in pharmaceutical companies can get a higher return as they get people off the dirt cheap generic opioids and on to more profitable and likely less effective drugs. Thank you to the party of limited government! Preventing drug abuse and over doses are simply a smoke screen.
They can’t represent the people when they are paid to represent their donors.
How about a new party called the Sane Party? And that party could not accept donations over a certain amount from many many people so they are beholden only to the people? And corporations are not people. And they would not be allowed to use super pacs.
How about appointing the best person for the job rather than appointing someone to head the FDA as a political favor who has ties to Big Pharma, for example.
Washington DC has been broken for a long long time now.
