This was posted on another FB page… FYI !!!

Hey folks, here’s an opportunity to maybe change the dialog on opioid hysteria. NPR has a sunday morning program called the “Call In Show” and next week the question is “How has the opioid epidemic effected you?” We should all call in- dial 202-216-9217 with full name, where you are calling from and your story! Maybe if they hear from enough of us they will start showing how this is hurting chronic pain patients and our abilities to receive adequate pain relief…

  1. Does anyone know what time this is played in CST or in the same state of Texas? I certainly don’t want to miss it. God bless you Steve!!!

  2. My new Dr ( cuz my favorite one moved away ) wanted me to go to a pain management Dr cuz he says that he don’t prescribe pain meds for any of his patients. He has only given me two weeks worth here & there. I have gone to the pain management Dr & they want to do a nerve stimulation in my spine to help with my pain for my disabled arm( severely broke it / nerve damage) plus I have complex regional pain syndrome . I am await approval for the device. They part of pain management that supposed to prescribe pain meds don’t have any appointments til Late April. How do I convince my regular Dr to prescribe me my Pain meds. I don’t abuse them or sell them. Nor do I smoke anything or drink. I have passed all mandatory drug test per the required pain contract. Meanwhile I suffer 24/7

    • Presuming that your “new doc” knew or should have known how long a wait to get into a pain clinic that he is referring you to.. and not providing you with pain management medication until an appt can be made the following issues come to mind
      1. pt abandonment
      2. pt abuse
      3. medical battery – the intentional throwing a known opiate dependent pt into cold turkey withdrawal.

    • jmo,, in the mean time,,also to help us all,,contact your aclu to let then know more about what is happening to you/all of us,,,jmo,,maryw

  3. Wow,,, WELL THIS ANSWERS ALOT,,, I wonder how many other media’s budget is 15 % ,”funded,”’ by the governments agenda!!!!!forwarding to aclu….wow,,,this answers alot for me!!!!MARY

  4. Trump is trying to defund NPR and a handful of other things. The gov’t pays about 15-16% of NPR’s budget. Despite the help of viewers like you, that’s a big part of an operating budget. Enjoy it while it lasts.

  5.
