I used to work for walgreens when they were Implementing their policy in xxxxxxxx this was after they had gotten major financial troubles in Florida the district manager had come up from Florida they would not put a fine point on policy as to what C2 prescriptions we were supposed to accept or do not it was in our judgment but if Did not deny enough of them we were to be written up for not following policy or going through the motions without really implementing the procedure of denying the scheduled to prescriptions second discretion was still supposed to be left up to the pharmacist and one pharmacist could deny it on Tuesday And document that they had denied it in order to get your denial numbers up but another pharmacist could except the prescription on Wednesday and fill it according to my discussions with management
They were at that time trying to make it appear that the discretion to fill was on the local pharmacist in charge and if there was a problem it was going to be at the local level not at the chain level simultaneously they would not create an actual policy of how and when one should do not But you may have heard all this before
QUOTAS ??? WTF ?
Does this sound like ventriloquist denying that they are responsibility of what comes out of the dummy’s mouth that is sitting on their knee ?
Maybe this is why it took them at least 72 hours to fill a controlled med… for one RPH to deny it and another to come on duty to approve/fill it

As a consumer and retired professional this makes me sick and sad. So discrimination on one day but not the next. That should raise a lot of questions. I am boycotting the businesses that do discriminate and hopefully others will follow. Think of the what the patient must feel with a legitimate prescription. I hope that the pharmacists will join together to honor legitimate prescriptions.
Bet that’s why I got 3 different dates when I could get my son’s Adderall filled from 3 different pharmacists with 2 of those dates past the date of the previous fill. Sorry WAGS, my sons OCD and ADD symptoms become a problem when you folks want to play around with the fill dates on his meds. So far this has been a one time occurance, next time I may not be so polite about asking for the scripts back to take elsewhere.
