Here is a article from DRUG STORE NEWS About Community Health Network in central Indiana and Walgreens..
A little back story… Walgreens sought and got permission to have 20 odd stores to be converted to their “Pharmacist out front format” in Indianapolis… also the state legislature granted the state BOP to change the tech ratio from 1:4 to 1:6
From the article:
The final outcome both companies are striving for is better patient care, executives noted. “One of our key goals is to improve access and convenience to Community’s patients and our partner’s patients,” commented Tim Hobbs
Is this the format that Obamacare expects as a ACO ( Accountable Care Organization)?…. a 21st century HMO?
Through this relationship, we are bringing new thinking to local health care delivery and helping ensure that patients are receiving the best care at the best location,” he said. “This type of collaborative approach leverages the unique capabilities of both parties and represents the direction that health care is moving.”
It would appear that this partnership believes that only Community Health Network medical practices and Walgreens is the only place that a pt can get “the best care”.. Could they be like the old “roach motel”… once they go in… it is nearly impossible to get out ?
This is probably a 500 +/- word article… and I could not find one mention of the word – PHARMACIST – in this entire article.
Maybe this is a press release from Community Health Network and is entirely from their perspective.. From the article, it is clear that the NURSES .. in Walgreens Take Care Clinic .. are going to be part of the program.
Once again, it would seem that Pharmacists don’t even deserve a foot note in the future of healthcare.

Obamacare really, Steve I love you but its not 2014 yet. You are silly sometines…. Its NAPLEX and WAGS and NACDS. You need to expose them rather than waste words on Obamacare,,,,, Remember which administration opened all those pharmacy schools…..
