I guess that since all opiates – except Tylenol with Cod – are now C-II’s and you have to get a new Rx each time.. technically they are not refills … So Pharmacist can claim they are following this policy.. while continuing to refuse to fill opiates ? If you notice the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHAIN DRUG STORES… is not on board neither is the NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS BOARDS OF PHARMACY !

Just because the rx’s are refilled does not mean they are taken. Just because they are taken does not mean they are taken correctly. Adherence to medications is a lot more than just refills, at least the data shows that. But PBM’s and some others would have you belive otherwise!!!! For the sake of $$$$
Until ones chronic illness has issues like bipolar and several med changes are needed and add a few more meds for side effects from psych meds and then *POOF* refills dont sync. unless he goes off meds to re sync, I can send him to them to take care of just in case he starts to relapse. As a RPh myself I got complaints on this all the time, but in reality unless your chrinc health issue is absolutely perfect, those groups who want it arent living in reality.IMHO
