CDC: Withdraw Guidelines for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain

The CDC’s Guidelines are inappropriate, short sighted, and are more harmful than helpful to pain patients. Developed in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act’s (FACA) regulations with little to no evidence used in support, the Guidelines are blatantly discriminatory to existing pain patients, licensed pain specialists, and responsible users of opioid medication, and should be withdrawn.
There are currently 5,105 signatures. NEW goal – We need 7,500 signatures!

I created a petition for chronic pain patients using my non profit FFPCAN back in 2011. I wanted to share my experience with you in using MoveOn.org
The response I received wasn’t very good and my petition didn’t do well and here is why I feel it didn’t.
I repeatedly received messages from people stating that they couldn’t sign because it was created with MoveOn.org. in which they said was affiliated with George Soros.
Btw, this was all the way back in 2011.
I would imagine now in 2017 that many more people aren’t approving of Soros because of the politics involved.
I honestly hope plenty of folks will sign this petition but I bet if it was created with some other site it may get the best results.
* This is only my opinion and my experience.
I wish the best of luck with this great attempt for pain patients to be heard! I support the effort COMPLETELY! 🙂
