Both of these “people” are in their 80’s (in human years)… if they were seen by their doctor… and both were suffering from chronic pain… which one do you think is more likely to get appropriate pain management ? Does one or both deserve to have their quality of life optimized and their pain minimized ?

And play that lovely Kate Wolff song as we poignantly look at and listen to the people as the cry and suffer.
I saw a lady just like this today.
She was recovering from a fractured pelvis and wrist.
Her doctor was giving her two norco 5/325 a day, concerned she might get hooked.
Luckily a friend brought her to get a medical mj card.

Of course the dog would..all the commercials about the inhumane treatment of animals just shows the compassion for dogs but not the human suffering. Maybe we need commercials for inhumane treatment of people showing them in bed, wheelchairs, on the couch etc. Crying from their pain.
The dog would get better care, hands down. I do think dogs should be treated adequately, but it is a crying shame that people are left to suffer. I know what I’m in for as I get older. 🙁
